Book choice: The Dinner Plan by Kathy Brennan & Caroline Campion
Hi I’m Kara and I’m the head backlist buyer here at Bookshop. I’ve been here for twenty-eight years and I really enjoy my work. The people in my office make me laugh and keep me going, which is a big help when times get stressful. The thing I’ve been struggling with lately is coming home from a long day at work and then making a dinner that is healthy, quick and fairly easy to make. I can’t seem to get organized and a lot of the things I typically make take longer than half an hour. When I’m tired it’s hard to come up with the energy to cook dinner. I chose the book The Dinner Plan: A Keepers Cookbook so I can get ideas for dinners that are quick and super tasty. The recipes in this book seem fairly simple and they don’t use a lot of ingredients. They are also the types of food my family likes to eat; seafood, chicken, fresh veggies and spices I already have on hand. I also want to save money and not spend so much on expensive take-out food. I’m looking forward to starting this new project. Bon Apetit! —Kara
