World-renowned relationship experts Dr. John Gottman, Dr. Julie Gottman, Doug Abrams, and Dr. Rachel Carlton Abrams will lead you through the laughs, joy, and learning of their brand-new book, Eight Dates: Essential Conversations for a Lifetime of Love. The evening includes dinner (if you choose), a spirited talk, and book signing. Tickets are $25 plus fees.

About the Presenters
John Gottman, PhD, is world-renowned for his work on marital stability and divorce prediction and has conducted more than 40 years of breakthrough research with thousands of couples. Cofounder with his wife of the Gottman Institute, Dr. Gottman is professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Washington. Dr. Gottman was named one of the Top 10 Most Influential Therapists of the past quarter-century by Psychotherapy Networker, and is author and coauthor of more than 200 published articles and 40 books.
Julie Gottman, PhD, is a psychotherapist, author, and cofounder of the Gottman Institute. A clinical supervisor for the Couples Together Against Violence study, she is internationally sought-after by the media as an expert advisor on marriage, sexual harassment and rape, domestic violence, gay and lesbian adoption, same-sex marriage, and parenting issues.
Doug Abrams is the founder and president of Idea Architects. He is a former editor at the University of California Press and HarperCollins. Doug has had the privilege of working on books for Nobel Peace Laureates Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama, and Jody Williams. Most recently, he is the coauthor of The Book of Joy with Desmond Tutu and the Dalai Lama.
Rachel Carlton Abrams, MD, is a family practice physician who is board certified in integrative medicine. Founder of the award-winning Santa Cruz Integrative Medicine clinic, she has been voted “Best Doctor” in Santa Cruz County from 2009 – 2018. Author of BodyWise, Rachel dedicates her practice, teaching, and writing to helping each person learn to listen to their body’s innate intelligence.
