Key of Light by Nora Roberts

When it’s storming outside and I want to curl up with hot tea and a book, this is the one I reach for more often than not. Celtic myth clashes with the only three mortal women who can break an evil spell. The fantasy doesn’t stop these women from being realistic, awesome characters, and the romance is sweet and sexy. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

Mastering the Art of Soviet Cooking by Anya Von Bremzen

Part memoir, part cookbook, this is one excellent look at the history of the Soviet Union through an unusual lens - food. The writing is superb, keeping you entertained and connected to history through the eyes of her family. Neither an indictment nor a rosy view of the USSR, I was surprised how much I learned and how entertained I was, not to mention how delicious the food sounded.

Learn to Knit, Love to Knit by Anna Wilkinson

Wilkinson’s cute and fun style is so refreshing to see in a knitting book! While most of the patterns in here aren’t really for beginners, they are perfect for novices ready to move to the next level. The fun colors and innovative patterns make this book stand out. If you’re looking for some ideas for gifts or a great book for someone who loves knitting, this is perfect for you.
