I am so excited about Luisa Weiss’ new book, not only because I know from my mom’s Christmas cookie recipes that German baking is divine, but because I love Luisa’s writing (My Berlin Kitchen) and have followed her journey as she developed recipes for Classic German Baking on her blog, The Wednesday Chef. Luisa researched and tested more than a hundred recipes from sources throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland to make this labor of love.
