Our consignment program allows us to continue to accept all of the professionally-produced, self-published books from our local authors and to devote our resources to prominently featuring them throughout the store.
For over 30 years, Rainya Dann, BFA, has been the Director of the Institute for Transpersonal Studies, an approved school by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education in California. Her passion is to inspire people who want to express their authentic selves.
Christopher is the lead pastor of Greater Purpose Community Church, and the visionary behind the Greater Purpose Brewing Company in Santa Cruz, California. Greater Purpose is a progressive Christian church that sold its massive sanctuary to finance a charitable brewery that raises funds for socially progressive nonprofits. Kathleen Schwab is a lifelong lover of God, a writer, a literature teacher, and a wife and mother. She earned a BA in English Literature in 1989, and a Masters in Teaching in 1990, both from Smith College in Massachusetts. She enjoys 19th century novels, all things medieval, and time with her seven companion birds.
Tony Wolff is a recovering achievement addict. After many years of pursuing the American Dream, Tony applied the same drive to his yoga practice...But a funny thing happened on the way to perfection: he stopped enjoying himself....20 years of vipassana meditation saved the day and the 5 Not So Noble Truths emerged: Slow Down, Pay Attention, Breathe, Relax and Lighten Up. Actually there should be 6, since Lighten Up should be in there twice. Tony lives in Big Sur where he sits on his zafu a lot and does his yoga practice near the sea.
Monalee. Fritch was born in Germany and studied at the Rudolf Steiner/Waldorf School in Stuttgart, Germany. In 1951, she and her family moved to Santiago, Chile where she learned Spanish. She obtained her degree at the Catholic University in Santiago. In 1964, the family moved to California. Monalee hoped to become a film maker in Southern California but the family chose San Francisco as their new home. She and her brother started an office machine business and added a small metaphysical bookstore to their operation.
Sharon Delgado is an ordained United Methodist minister, author, speaker, and activist. She travels widely, speaking before spiritual communities and secular audiences on climate change, economic and environmental justice, peacemaking, and corporate globalization. Sharon is author of Love in a Time of Climate Change: Honoring Creation, Establishing Justice (Fortress Press, July 2017) and Shaking the Gates of Hell: Faith-Led Resistance to Corporate Globalization (Fortress Press, 2007).
