Tony Wolff is a recovering achievement addict. After many years of pursuing the American Dream, Tony applied the same drive to his yoga practice...But a funny thing happened on the way to perfection: he stopped enjoying himself....20 years of vipassana meditation saved the day and the 5 Not So Noble Truths emerged: Slow Down, Pay Attention, Breathe, Relax and Lighten Up. Actually there should be 6, since Lighten Up should be in there twice. Tony lives in Big Sur where he sits on his zafu a lot and does his yoga practice near the sea.

When I began this endeavor I was not a mystic. Retired now, I've worked in biotech as an engineer at Agilent Technology and Silicon Genetics, a researcher in space biology at NASA Ames, a computer programmer at several start-ups, and a philosophy professor at Stanford University. I have advanced degrees from some of the best universities, including a BS from MIT, a PhD in philosophy from Harvard and an MBA from UC Berkeley.
Born in New Jersey, in close proximity to New York City, I have lived and worked in southern Big Sur since 1973. I have lived a life of rugged interaction with the elements of nature, in the wildest area of this region.
