Graciela Trevisan was born in a small town, now a small city, in Argentina, called Totoras (English: Cattails). She has published poetry, fiction (short stories) and translations, and participated in many literary readings. She taught Latin American and Gender Studies for 16 years at the New College of California. She lives in San Francisco, California, with her wife Lisa and, until recently, their cat Ute, who passed as this book was being published.

Carol Clark Roberts, the daughter of missionary parents in China, spent her early and teen-age years in a China occupied by Japanese forces followed by a brutal civil war and Communist takeover. Forced to flee, Carol’s family landed up in the southern Philippines for two years and then back to the United States. There Carol attended college, married, and started a family. For fifteen years she wrote and photographed original filmstrip stories for schools and churches. Later she turned to writing six novels, mostly inspired by her love for China.

Kim Cope Tait earned her MFA in Writing at Vermont College of Fine Arts in 2000. Her work has appeared in literary journals and magazines in the U.S. and abroad. She has two novels, Inertia and Bend the Blue Sky, as well as a chapbook of poems entitled Element. Kim also wrote and recorded Lotus Wheel: Guided Meditations for Relaxation and Healing in 2013. Mark Saha grew up in cotton country along the Texas Gulf Coast, earned a BA at the University of Notre Dame, and attended film school at UCLA, where a collection of his short stories won a Samuel Goldwyn Creative Writing Award. That resulted in offers from Hollywood agencies and led to many years of writing scripts for film and television. He lives in Santa Monica, California.
