Author Bio:

Annelise Schinzinger is passionate about improving the quality of life of elders and those who are dying. She has dedicated over twenty-five years to end-of-life care and advocacy for the elderly. She learned about the importance of competent and loving caregivers when she dealt with a serious illness at nineteen. When her grandmother and mother were ill and dying, she took care of them. Her experiences were so profound that she left the corporate world and became a hospice caregiver.

Annelise has a bachelor’s degree in Portuguese and Spanish and a Certificate in Human Resources Management, both from the University of California, Irvine. During the ten years she lived in Brazil, she worked as a teacher, translator, and interpreter. She has immersed herself in the study of end-of-life care since 1991. She was certified as an advance level practitioner of Chi Nei Tsang (CNT) in 2002, and has written chapters and articles about end-of-life care, CNT, and other subjects.
