“Oceans Don’t Freeze” (2007) by Jen Corace. Bookshop favorite Jen Corace is an artist and freelance illustrator who lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island. She concerns herself with Victorian-era photographic portraiture, reading up on any and every animal, eating toast, and securing large amounts of personal space. Jen has illustrated numerous delightful children’s books, including Little Pea, Little Hoot, Hansel and Gretel, and The Humblebee Hunter (to be published in February 2010). The year 2009 brought the arrival of a new addition to the Bookshop family: owner Casey Coonerty Protti and Michel Protti welcomed their son, Devin Raymond Bernard, on July 7th. Congratulations Casey, Michel, and big sister Claire!
