One Way of Seeing is a collection of seventeen personal essays about Don Rothman's lifetime relationship to photography and over 100 of his evocative photographs, many of which invite us to explore the meaning of form, blurred vision, and forgiving the photographer for his transgressions.
Don Rothman taught writing at UCSC for 34 years and was (founding) director of the Central California Writing Project, a think tank for teachers on the role of writing in a democracy, for almost three decades. He is currently vice president of the Shakespeare Santa Cruz advisory board.
