Annual Bookshop Santa Cruz Photography Contest

The Reader Photographed

Bookshop Santa Cruz sponsors a photography contest on the theme of readers, books, and reading. A gift certificate in the amount of $250 is presented to the winner of the contest. Second- and third-place gift certificates are also be awarded. The winning photographs will be displayed at Bookshop Santa Cruz and on our website.

Theme
Photographs must depict individuals or groups of readers, books or some image related to the act of reading.

Eligibility
You may only submit your own photograph. You may submit as many photographs as you wish. All entrants must agree that their photograph can be exhibited at Bookshop Santa Cruz and reproduced in our newsletter and on our website. The photographer’s name will be included with any use of the photograph.

Entry Forms
Each individual entry must have a copy of the entry form taped to the back of the entry.

Prizes
Three prizes will be awarded. First prize will be a $250 Gift Certificate for Bookshop Santa Cruz. Second prize will be a $100 Gift Certificate and Third prize will be a $50 Gift Certificate.

Entry Deadline and Judging
All entries must be received no later than September1, 2010. Final judging will take place by October 15, 2010.

Entry Preparation
Please send or deliver your entries unmounted, in flat packages, to Bookshop Santa Cruz, 1520 Pacific Ave., Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Affix entry form to back of
photograph. All entries must be color or black & white prints of the
following sizes only: 4 x 6 5 x 7 8 x 10 No slides. All prints must be unmounted and without mats.

IF YOU WANT YOUR ENTRY RETURNED,
please include a self addressed stamped envelope.
Otherwise Bookshop Santa Cruz will dispose of entries.
