Harper Lee, the reclusive author of the beloved best-selling novel To Kill a Mockingbird, will publish a second novel in July. The recently rediscovered book, Go Set a Watchman, was completed in the mid-1950s, in the midst of the civil rights movement.

Catamaran Literary Reader is a newly launched literary arts magazine based in the Tannery Arts Center in Santa Cruz. Catamaran features new fiction, creative essay, poetry, and art on regional themes by writers and artists from everywhere. Several Santa Cruz contributors will be featured in every issue.
Molly Gloss is a beloved fiction author known for her titles Jump Off Creek and Hearts of Horses. In Catamaran's debut issue, Gloss has written a short story called the "The Mower," which centers on the same character from Hearts of Horses later in life.
