Did you know that October is National Book Club month?  So we’re starting off the month by holding a Book Group Mixer to get everyone in the mood. Bookshop Santa Cruz ’s Book Group Mixers now create a buzz among local Book Groups as a great way to get ideas and recommendations with their selections. This month’s mixer will include staff reviews highlighting great fiction and non-fiction picks, and a special presentation highlighting the sneak-peaks of coming Fall titles you won’t want to miss—also a great way to get your list going for gifts for this holiday season (for instance, as a tease, did everyone out there know that Barbara Kingsolver has a new novel coming out?) Everyone who attends the Mixer will get free giveaways, receive a 20% off coupon for all paperback fiction titles good for that night, and have a chance to be entered in a raffle and win the grand-prize.  And, yes, there will wine and cheese!
