I love books that deal with matters of faith not as they are but in terms of where they come from and why they have taken the shape that they’re in. Wright uses archeology, theology, and evolutionary psychology to give me exactly what I would want in a book examining the patterns of development for the great monotheistic faiths. Bonus: his outlook for the future is positive and he finds great personal and societal value in these spiritual quests. —Nici
