Our consignment program allows us to continue to accept all of the professionally-produced, self-published books from our local authors and to devote our resources to prominently featuring them throughout the store.
Born in New Jersey, in close proximity to New York City, I have lived and worked in southern Big Sur since 1973. I have lived a life of rugged interaction with the elements of nature, in the wildest area of this region.
As a firefighter, writer, active community member, mentor, and free-form dancer, Beverly believes strongly in serving and inspiring people in her local community and beyond. Beverly brings the multifaceted experiences from all her endeavors to empower and motivate people to follow their dreams, break through personal and social barriers, and celebrate their authentic self-expression. Whether she is speaking to the community, teaching students, interacting with people on the emergency scene or on the dance floor, Beverly infuses her interactions with optimism and encouragement.
Isabella Price is an international speaker and the author of the “One Truth, Many Paths” series of books on unitive spirituality. For nearly 25 years she has been teaching classes and workshops at universities, colleges, and various religious venues. Isabella has traveled extensively and participated in numerous rituals from many wisdom traditions. She holds an MA in the humanities from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. She is also a certified SQ21 Spiritual Intelligence coach and teaches meditation to veterans suffering from PTSD and other community members.
Gregory is a spiritual teacher and author. His teachings have been inspired by a profound love for mysticism that developed in a very early age and led him deep into Western Mystery Traditions, Native South American Shamanism, and much later, Vajrayana Buddhism. Influenced by the Advaita Vedanta lineage of Sri Siddharameshwar Maharaj and Nisargadatta Maharaj, Gregory shares a strong affinity for clear and direct nondual teachings, seeing them as invaluable pointers to Truth and to the recognition of the freedom that can come from an absolute ‘knowing’ of Self.
Josie Ann Teresi has been an Ordained Minister and Inspirational Writer for twenty-five years. She has been a Reiki Practitioner since 2007 and an Intuitive Spiritual Counselor for the past thirty years.
Josie has authored two novels under the pen name Josephine Ann Teresi. In 2010 Josie collaborated with Photographer Liz Barton-de Paul to create their first inspirational book entitled “Nature’s Inspiration - Words & Images To Love By.”
Ana Holub, MA, is a teacher, counselor, author, poet and peace educator. She holds a BA in Peace Studies and an MA in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law. Ana is a certified Domestic Violence counselor, Radical Forgiveness coach, and a student and teacher of A Course in Miracles.
HARRIET KIMBLE WRYE, PhD. is a Training and Supervising Psychoanalyst Emerita at the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies. She has been ordained by Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh as a core member of the Order of Interbeing.
Jennifer Myers grew up in Sunnyvale, California. She has a Master's degree in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz. After she graduated from UC Santa Cruz, Jennifer spent two years as an Environmental Education Volunteer with the US Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. She returned to the US to attend graduate school in 1995 and spent three years in Washington, DC working for environmental nonprofits.
Rode is an award winning speaker and has extensive experience in a
multitude of disciplines. Her Twelve Step recovery began twenty-four years ago and
she is a member of several programs. She studied Buddhism with the Asian
Classics Institute and meditation with Master Culadasa of Dharma Treasure. She has a
B.A. in chemistry from UC Santa Cruz and a Ph.D. in physiology with an emphasis
in alternative medicine from UC Davis. For the past eighteen years she has
maintained a regular practice of meditation and internal arts (Chi Gung, Tai
