Stacey Gates graduated from California State University-Fullerton with a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies and a plan to teach elementary school, but life took her in a different direction. While raising her child, she volunteered her time to raise awareness of food and its effects on our health and the planet. She co-hosted movie events at a theater in Laguna Beach, CA to educated adults and teenagers about it, and she established vegetable gardens at elementary schools to educate children.
