Description
The Encyclopedists have re-opened the concept of the "encyclopedia" and blown the dust off the pages, ending up with a sparkling (glitterati, Lady Gaga, Liberace, Cher Farewell Tour #578) new way to see these entries we have pored over before. Now, we have prose, artwork, photography (no grainy stock footage here), color art portfolios, yearnings, bra-burnings, excitements galore that leap off the page and truly grab you. These are old words turned new, histories refreshed and replenished.
The contributors range far and wide, Encyclopedia being an inclusive publication with an emphasis on including work by people of color, of multi-gender, of varied walks of life, sexuality, experience, age, and viewpoint. They bring the volumes to life and imbue it with something of themselves.
