Description
Description:
What story do Polaroid pictures really tell? During one traumatic week in 1970, two 14-year-old girls find themselves victims of an organized deception by three senior football players. Rumors and revenge, set to the background of 26 rock-and-roll lyrics, combine to reveal loyalty, sisterhood, and the special power "Alice" has for all women.
Author Bio:
Mary Diehl received her master's degree in creative writing at San Jose State University and her baccalaureate in journalism at St. Bonaventure University in New York. She has been teaching English at De Anza College in Cupertino for over twenty years. This is her first work of fiction.
Note: The girls on the cover of the book are Kelli Deane (left) and Diehl's daughter Kelly Long (right). Both girls graduated from San Lorenzo Valley High School in Felton, and are still good friends. The story in Alice Power is not about them.
